I was originally introduced to Senita Athletics back in 2019. In fact, it was one of the first clothing brands that I ever reviewed and featured on my blog! A lot has changed since we first got to know Senita, but one thing has remained the same; I really love and appreciate this women’s athletic wear brand.
Senita Athletics was started by two moms who were tired of trying to find workout clothes that performed well but didn’t break the bank (we’re looking at you, Lululemon).
I started hearing a lot about Senita on social media so I decided to take a closer look to see if this fitness apparel is the real deal or not. After ordering a couple of pieces for myself and reading dozens of real customer reviews, it’s safe to say that Senita is an athletic wear brand that women can trust to support them through all stages of womanhood.

Who Should Try Senita Athletics?
If you’re a woman who loves working out, hates giant price tags, lives for being comfortable, and loves to support women-owned companies—Senita Athletics may be a great option for you.
Let’s face it, even if you don’t like working out, you probably still love wearing athletic gear because it’s just so darn comfortable. Senita offers a very cute, casual look to their clothing which means it can be used in so many different ways. I wear my Senita pieces to work out as well as for everyday wear. Some pieces even work well for dressing up and going out! I love how versatile their stuff is.
Senita Athletics Key Differentiators
First, I want to say that I loved the look and feel of the Senita brand before I even tried their clothing. They feature real women of all shapes and sizes in their branding and I think that’s something we can all get behind.I really appreciate that the women Senita features are wholesome, natural, and relatable.
I was also pretty surprised by how affordable all their pieces are. Senita’s pricing is comparable to Target and Old Navy activewear prices, which was nice to see as that’s the price range I usually find myself purchasing in. I am not a big fan of overpaying for activewear.
I’ll be honest, I was a bit concerned that the quality wouldn’t be as good as higher-priced competitors, however, I have found that it’s actually very comparable to the big-name fitness athletic wear brands. The fabric is soft, pliable, and comfortable, and has held up to many washes and plenty of intense workouts - which means that it gets my seal of approval.

I was so excited to see that this brand offers a whole line of maternity apparel. As a mom who’s been through two pregnancies, I can tell you that finding quality, comfortable maternity leggings was high on my priority list but proved difficult to find. There aren’t too many premium-quality women’s athletic apparel brands that also offer maternity apparel.
Senita now calls their maternity and nursing-friendly apparel “Senita Mom.” The Senita Mom collection includes maternity-friendly, maternity swim, and nursing-friendly pieces that help new and expectant moms look and feel their best.
Senita Leggings
The first thing you’ll notice about all of the Senita leggings is that they have pockets. Let me be the first to say, I am 100% here for leggings with pockets. It’s the perfect place to stash your phone whether you’re at the gym or just hanging around the house.
All Senita leggings, capris, and shorts are made from a strong blend of nylon/spandex or polyester/Spandex making them durable, long-lasting, and stretchable without being see-through (they pass the squat test!). Additionally, they feature a high, thick waistband that keeps you on-trend and sucked in.
These pants are perfect. I was skeptical about the color but they don’t show underwear or anything. I wore these the first time in a hot yoga class and they did not become seethrough at all. Like how is that possible??? Please add these to your wardrobe.
Obsessed. Very slimming. Super comfortable.... but I found alternative leggings and saved hundreds of dollars!
Senita Sports Bras
Senita leggings aren’t the only piece of activewear that have pockets—some of the Senita sports bras do, too! I’ll admit, when I first saw that their sports bras had a pocket in the back, between the shoulder blades, I was a bit skeptical. However, after I thought about it I realized that it’s rather genius.
We all need a place to hold our phones so why not in our sports bras? Especially if the pocket is large and compressive enough to keep it in place.
Since I first reviewed Senita Athletics back in 2019, they have really expanded their line and now offer a large variety of trendy sports bras that fit and flatter every body type while also remaining highly functional no matter what type of activity you’re up to.
Senita Maternity
Senita was founded by two moms, so they really took the needs of pregnant and breastfeeding moms into consideration when they designed their Senita maternity line.
They offer nursing bras, maternity tanks, maternity shorts, and maternity leggings. The workout leggings have a belly band that goes all the way up and over your bump, which is hard to find!
It’s so hard to fit your pregnant body to stay active and comfortable. These were exactly what I needed and I loved them so much that I bought two more pairs. They are comfortable, squat proof, and I love the pockets. I have kind of been living in them this summer from the gym to hiking to the beach! They are great and just the right length!
So incredibly comfortable, truly an amazing brand!

Senita Athletics Sizing
It’s frustrating that sizing varies so much for brand to brand, however, I have found that Senita’s clothing is pretty true to size. I am typically a small-medium in bottoms and a small in tops. I have been comfortable in every piece I have ordered from Senita and, judging by the feedback and reviews from other customers, most women feel the same way.
I think there’s a lot to be said about the quality and type of material being used when it comes to the sizing and fit of the garment. Personally, I don’t love overly-tight athletic wear, even though compression can add a layer of flattery. I much prefer a softer, more pliable fabric that I can feel good in all day, and that’s what I have experienced thus far from Senita.

As for the feel of the garments, most of their reviews are extremely complimentary of their fabrics and fit, however, certain pieces have received reviewed suggesting that the fit was off and felt uncomfortable and too tight. I haven't had this experience with the pieces I purchased.
From my experience, I can say that yes, they do! Since these garments are made from quality materials, they’re able to withstand intense sweat sessions and repeated washing/drying. Senita does advise users to use low heat if you choose to dry their garments or to air dry for maximum longevity and fit.

Yes, for the most part. However, some of their pieces have reviews that suggest that the sizing is a bit skewed and fits tighter than others. They offer sizes from XS to 3X, accommodating women from a size 0-24. I have ordered several pieces and they all felt true to size and on par with similar brands' sizing.
I looked all over for a Senita Athletics Coupon code, but it appears that this brand offers them during special sale events only. If you want to wait for a sale or special promo before buying from them, I would recommend subscribing to their mailing list and keeping your eyes peeled for a Senita promo code.
