Macro-Friendly Big Mac Pasta Salad
Our Big Mac Pasta Salad is going to be your new favorite way to eat pasta salad! This high-protein, loaded salad has all the fixings you love about a Big Mac, tossed in protein-packed pasta, and a creamy dressing to deliver a flavor explosion in every bite.
Equipment
- 1 Large Pot
- 3 Cooking spoons or spatulas
- 1 Veggie chopper or cutting board + knife
- 1 Large mixing bowl with lid
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Lean ground beef We used 93/7
- 1 tbsp. Burger seasoning
- 1 box Barilla Protein Plus rotini pasta or pasta of your choice
- 1 Medium onion, chopped
- 4 Dill pickle spears, chopped
- 1 cup Reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup Fat-free Thousand Island dressing
Instructions
- Add ground beef to a large skillet over medium heat. Add burger seasoning and cook until no longer pink, about 7-8 minutes. Drain excess liquid, set aside to cool.
- While ground beef is cooking, cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, rinse, set aside to cool.
- Chop onions and pickles.
- In a large mixing bowl, add all ingredients (beef, pasta, onions, pickles, cheddar cheese, and dressing.)
- Stir until well combined.
- Serve with additional dressing on top if desired, enjoy!
