“FHM Big Mac Sloppy Joes”

Easy Big Mac Sloppy Joes (w/ 45g of Protein!)
Equipment
- 1 Spatula
- 1 Veggie chopper or cutting board + knife
- 1 Small Mixing Bowl
- 1 baking sheet
Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef I ued 96/4
- 1 tbsp. hamburger seasoning
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 4 low-carb hamburger buns I recommend Arnold’s or Royo, code TAMI10 saves you
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 4 slices American cheese
- cooking spray
For sauce
- 2 tbsp light mayo
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp pickle juice
Instructions
- Spray a large skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef, breaking it up into small pieces with a spatula or meat spoon, allow to cook for 7-8 minutes, or until no longer pink. Drain.
- Add hamburger seasoning to ground beef, stirring until meat is coated, then add chopped onions to skillet.
- Allow onions to cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they begin to soften.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, dijon mustard, and beef broth to the skillet. Allow to simmer on medium-low heat for 10-15 minutes or until the liquid begins to thicken.
- While mixture is simmering, assemble the sauce. In a small mixing bowl, mix together the ketchup, yellow mustard, light mayo, and pickle juice, stirring until well combined. Set aside.
- Split 4 buns in half, laying all parts on a large baking sheet. Turn the oven on to low broil and toast buns for 2-3 minutes, or until golden. Remove from oven.
- Spread burger sauce evenly across all 8 burger buns (tops & bottoms).
- Once meat mixture is ready, scoop onto the bottom bun of all 4 burgers ~110 grams per bun.
- Top meat with 1 slice of American cheese and a handful of shredded lettuce.
- Apply top bun to bottom bun and enjoy!
