“FHM Small Batch Chocolate Brownies”

Small Batch Brownies (One Bowl!)
Equipment
- 1 9×5 or 8×5 baking pan
- 1 Large mixing bowl
- 1 Whisk or Mixing Spoon
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp Butter
- 1 tbsp Vegetable or canola oil
- 1/3 cup Granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1 large Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup Cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup Chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°. Line a 9×5 or 8×5 baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter in the microwave.
- Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter. Whisk until the mixture is fully combined.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the sugar-butter mixture. Whisk until well combined.
- Whisk in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until the flour mixture is fully incorporated.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chunks to distribute them evenly throughout the batter.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it to cover the entire loaf pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- To check for doneness, insert a toothpick into the center of the brownies. It should come out with just a few wet crumbs when they are ready.
