Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 lb. Ground chicken
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 4 Zucchini, spiralized
  • 1 jar Marinara or pasta sauce of choice (24 oz.)

Optional toppings:

  • Shredded parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil
  • Red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the ground chicken to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper, and cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Break the chicken into crumbles using a wooden spoon.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  • Pour the marinara sauce over the cooked chicken, stirring to combine. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 5-10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  • While the sauce simmers, spiralize the zucchini if you haven’t done so already. Set the zoodles aside.
  • In a separate skillet, lightly sauté the zoodles for 2-3 minutes until just tender. Avoid overcooking to prevent them from becoming mushy.
  • Plate the zoodles and top them with the chicken bolognese sauce. Add any optional toppings such as shredded parmesan, fresh basil, or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.

Notes

Add red pepper flakes while cooking the sauce if you prefer more heat.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
