Instructions
-
Set your oven to 375°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set it aside.
-
In a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the meatballs. Shape the mixture into meatballs using about 2 tablespoons for each. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Bake the meatballs in the oven for 15-18 minutes, or until they are fully cooked.
-
Once baked, transfer the meatballs to a large bowl and toss them with pasta sauce. Set aside.
-
Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
-
Horizontally slice the rolls, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half in the baking dish. Arrange the meatballs over the bottom half of the rolls and pour any remaining marinara sauce on top. Sprinkle cheese over the meatballs, spread ricotta on top layer, and place the top half of the rolls on top.
-
In a small bowl, mix together the topping ingredients. Brush this mixture over the top of the sliders.
-
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
-
Remove from the oven, cut into individual sliders, and serve.
Tami’s notes
You can prepare the meatballs ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or freeze them for up to a month. Simply thaw and bake when ready to use.
These sliders are perfect for parties and gatherings. Serve them with a side salad or some roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
