I try not to consume too much social media, but every so often I’ll go down the recipe rabbit whole as a way to get ideas and inspiration for my FHM+ App members. Not too long ago I came across several creators sharing varying versions of these 3-ingredient protein muffins.
These muffins are high in protein, low in calories, have a great texture and taste, and are super quick to throw together. Plus, there are a number of different possible flavor combinations!
I, of course, decided to try my own version of these viral protein muffins and to share them with you! This recipe is for a Double Chocolate Protein Muffin, but I'm also sharing 3 other flavor varieties to try. Enjoy!
3 Reasons Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- All you need are 3 ingredients (and they probably have them at your grocery store). Anytime you can use just 3 ingredients for something you’re baking, it’s a big win. I don’t know about you, but I don’t love dragging out all the measuring cups, spoons, and bowls just to get some muffins.
- There are 10g of protein per muffin. A regular muffin usually has 2-4g of protein, if you’re lucky, but these Viral Protein Muffins have 10g each, making them a legitimate source of protein for your day.
- It’s a “dump and bake” recipe. No weighing, measuring, or extra steps, these muffins are made by dumping the 3 ingredients into a bowl, stirring, and baking. Couldn’t be any easier.

Does it have to be fairlife shake?
Hi Amy! I think it could be any protein shake with the same volume.
Amazing!!
Kodiak muffin mix isnt readily available here. Could i use any type of kodiak?
Great question! I haven’t tried it myself, so I am not positive. But it’s worth a shot!

When I did the calorie and protein breakdown, I got 154 calories and 11 grams of protein per muffin!
Also these are AMAZING and we have made all the variations! Definitely enjoy the chocolate chip and lemon blueberry ones the most! I also heard to try the birthday cake one!
