If you're looking for a fun, easy, and macro-friendly way to enjoy pizza without the extra carbs, these Zucchini Pizza Boats are it! Packed with protein and all the classic pizza flavors, this dish is a go-to for a quick, satisfying dinner that won't derail your macros.
3 Reasons Why You'll Love This Recipe
- It’s high in protein, low in carbs. Traditional pizza is delicious, but it can be heavy on carbs. By swapping the crust for zucchini, you’re getting all the flavor with fewer carbs while still keeping the protein high.
- It’s simple to make. Just a few basic ingredients and 10 minutes of prep time are all you need to throw this together before letting the oven do the rest of the work.
- It’s customizable. You can load these boats up with any toppings you like—turkey sausage, pepperoni, extra cheese, or even some diced veggies for added crunch!
What Makes This Recipe Macro-Friendly?
When you’re tracking macros, it’s all about balancing your protein, carbs, and fats. This recipe fits perfectly into a macro-conscious meal plan because:
- High in protein: The ground pork (or any protein you choose) ensures you’re hitting your protein goal without even trying.
- Lower in carbs: By replacing traditional pizza crust with zucchini, you cut down on unnecessary carbs while still enjoying a satisfying meal.
- Healthy fats in balance: The cheese and pork add in just enough fat to keep things balanced without going overboard.
